Our story
More than a hundred years of golf
Created in 1922, Garesfield Golf Club is a private members' club set in beautiful woodlands and rolling countryside with breath-taking views over the Derwent Valley towards Tyneside.
We sit 15 minutes west of Newcastle and about 20 miles north of Durham City. Over a century the course has matured into a genuine test that rewards thought as much as power, and the club into somewhere people stay for decades.
Members, visitors and societies are all part of what makes Garesfield what it is — and new faces are always welcome, whether for a single round or a lifetime membership.
